Comments about the show

Tobias Sammet commented before the show: "Hamsterdam, we're coming! Avantasia live in the Netherlands tonite, first time ever!!! Yesssssss! I am excited!! -T" and yes he wrote Amsterdam with "h".  Just after the show Tobias published: "Tonite SOLD OUT! No tickets left! This must be the 6th or 7th show out of the first twelve that is completely sold out! THANK YOU!!!! -T" Eric Martin published: "Hey Amsterdam, I'm Back on dry land. The Full Metal cruise was so much fun, I would do it again tomorrow if I could. Avantasia plays tonight."

Sander Gommans (Kiske/Somerville, HDK, Trillium..) was at backstage and he published on his Facebook account: "After the turbulent HDK sessions, now it's time for some relaxing backstage with Avantasia in Amsterdam. Good to see there are still a lot of Dutch powermetallers! Also met up with Michael Kiske to talk about the next Kiske Somerville...more news soon."

The Realdouk commented on his Twitter account: "Hey, to Melkweg venue, would it be possible for the next time to have the stage at least 1 metre low for the next show? Thanks." Peter Faubert commented about the show: "Tonight Avantasia show in Amsterdam was great! I loved it! congrats to Tobias and the other guys." Brigitte commented: "It was a good show, but they made a few mistakes in the show. They didn't play 'Breaking Away' probably because they started too late. Not all shuttles from the ship arrived in time, so they had to wait. was quite a bad organization since several other from the ship were already in city the whole day. I got a magazine from the cruise. Sandra organized it for me. And it is now signed from several including Kiske, which was difficult, since he was almost running to his shuttle bus."

TV Live report about Full Metal Cruise 2013

The German television ZDF Kultur did a report about the Full Metal Cruise festival 2013, and Avantasia is included there. There is live footage, they broadcasted the song 'Invoke The Machine' recorded in Amsterdam and also some comments of fans.

Also ZDF Kultur did an interview with Tobias Sammet. It was cut out completely of the final ZDF.Kultur special. This is a pity, because at the time of the interview, Michael Kiske is warming up his voice. You can hear at 03:26.
