Review by Meg

The venue is contained in a complex with hotel towers, live hall, cinema, bowling, aquarium and so on. The buildings are huge and complicated, so I didn't have a chance to meet members before the show.

I was worried about Michi, because I saw him being sick on Amanda's video blog a few days before.

As with the European shows, Michi came on stage on 6th song "Reach Out For The Light" at last! The audience screamed in delight!! Welcome back on stage, Michi!! He dressed in a black knit cap and black leather jacket as you can see from the Unisonic pictures. He looked burly as a bear :)

Just a few minor additions:

As we had expected, his voice was great and the high tone was so beautiful!

But unfortunately he said he was sick and wanted us to help him by singing along. The next song was "The Tower". That long tone "Where do I..." of the beginning which is done by Tobias on the album, was performed by Michi! "Vandroiy" in reality!!

Unfortunately his voice did not sound loud from the speakers, because he was sick, and it looks very difficult to adjust too many vocalists' voices by a mixing console.

Even though in such a bad condition, I could hear Michi's brilliant voice and vibrato! The audience sang the main melody along with Michi, and sometimes quieted down to listen to Michi's voice.

Encore started with "Shelter from the Rain"! After 22 years Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske on stage together!! The legend came back!! Many people would shed tears with delight.

After this song, when Tobias introduced the legendary 2 Keepers, Oliver Hartmann played the intro of "Future World" by guitar. It fires us to call "Future World!!" It's my first experience to feel the heart of the audience has united! It was different from usual typical dialogue like Tobi says "LOST?" and the audience says "IN SPACE!".

I hoped that this big surprise only in far-east Japan could come true!! But Kai said, "even 22 years after, you say like this... I feel so happy, but this is Avantasia. So we cannot play Future World." It calmed us down, but Michi made us laugh! He said "Tobi, or not Tobi!" (It was punned for Hamlet by Shakespeare "to be, or not to be.")

It impressed me that Michi looked like he enjoyed himself with a beatific smile through the show. He enjoyed to be back to stage and touring with these members!

Please come back Japan again!! Next time, in good health condition! Take care of yourself! God bless you!!
