Information Avantasia bootleg Shinagawa Stellar Ball, Tokyo '13 Source 1

Audience recording. Label: Metal Hammer -143

This is the statement of Metal Hammer label (by Alexander):

From Japanese tour,  after three years, The Metal Opera Avantasia leadered by Tobias Sammet came back. Here is a super high-quality audience recording. A live performance at Shinagawa Stellar Ball, on July 10th 2013! A High-quality sound board which gave the 24 bit digital remastering to high quality audience Master of Metal Hammer, the original label.

This time with Eric Martin and Ronnie Atkins. Previous tour has a shorter version of 'The Seven Angels', now here is the full version in this tour, the fullness that all fans will. Also Michael Kiske was ill in the previous show, he was in very bad condition and now he demostrated without regret the talent he has, a great satisfaction.

Quality 1-10

9,1 (clearer)

Comments about the bootleg

Very good audience recording like usual in Japan. There is no distortion and the sound is quite clear although you can hear the audience. The mix is balanced but the vocals and the drums are in a little higher level than other instruments.

The rarity of this bootleg talking about the setlist is 'Avantasia' song because Michael sang that track alone without Tobias who still was ill. Michael confused two lines in the lyrics but the sound was nice. Playing in Japan it was really strange they didn't play 'Shelter From The Rain' since Japanese love those fast tracks but Tobias was not in a good shape so it was an easy choice.

The difference between source 1 & source 2 is that source 1 is more focused in the vocals, the source 2 has a better mix balance, you can hear all instruments more or less at the same level, in the source 1 the high level are the vocals and the drums (that's why is my favourite), and probably it sounds a little clearer.
